Hours: Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm EST

PLEASE NOTE: Colt cannot service legacy models older than 10 years, with the exception of most 1911 models and third generation Single Action Army (and New Frontier) models.

Which ammunition is recommended for use in my Colt firearm?
Colt firearms are designed to function with a variety of brands and types of ammunition in the appropriate caliber, but not all ammunition produces the same results. Colt recommends that you carefully read and understand your manual to determine which caliber is appropriate. We do not endorse any one brand, and recommend a visit to a pistol range to test fire different brands of ammunition in the appropriate caliber. +P is not suggested for models made prior to 1980. COLT DOES NOT RECOMMEND THE USE OF RELOADED AMMUNITION.

You can download manuals for current and legacy products from our website at no charge HERE. Older, outdated manuals may be purchased through Colt Customer Service for a nominal fee. Manuals may not be available for all legacy models.
